Electronics Recycling
The La Crosse County Hazardous Materials program has a recycling program for your unwanted electronic items. Did you know that many electronics contain heavy metals like lead, mercury, and several rare metals that can be easily recycled? Electronic waste (E-waste) can be recycled at the Hazardous Materials Facility during the following schedule:

Fees:
  • Households and K-12 Schools - FREE for all e-waste (including TVs)
  • Businesses - $0.20 per pound. Monday or Thursday only. Call for an appointment.

Schedule:
  • E-waste is accepted during the program's normal operating hours:
    • By appointment every Monday 11am - 4pm and Thursday 9am – 4pm (call 785-9999)
    • Walk-ins welcome every Tuesday 8am – 4pm and Wednesday 10:30am - 6pm
    • Walk-ins welcome every 1st and 3rd Saturday each month 9am – Noon

  • CB and Ham radios
  • Computer gaming items
  • Microwaves
  • TVs


Not Accepted:
  • Appliances
  • Dehumidifiers
  • Air conditioners
  • Anything with coolant or Freon
