Where else are Wisconsin vital records available?

You can purchase certified and uncertified copies of birth, death, and marriage certificates at the Register of Deeds office. You can now purchase a birth certificate at any county in Wisconsin if the person was born in Wisconsin.  Any county can also issue death records from Sept. 1st, 2013 to present, however if the death occurred prior to Sept. 1st, 2013 you would need to contact the county where the death occurred.  You can now purchase marriage certificates at any county in Wisconsin if the persons were married from June 21st, 2015 to present.  Prior to June 21st, 2015 you would need to contact the county they were married in.

Birth, death, and marriage certificates for events that occurred prior to 1907 are available for viewing at the Wisconsin Historical Society Archives. Information on the Wisconsin Historical Archives can be found on the Internet at http://www.wisconsinhistory.org/genealogy/index.html.
