Justice Sanctions Home

  • The Justice Sanctions Program was established to evaluate the jail population and to develop programming for inmates in the jail.

  • Quarterly reports are completed to show the number of inmates involved in the program, the number of bed days saved for the jail and the cost to the county.

  • Alternatives to jail may include electronic monitoring and community service.

  • Each inmate is evaluated for his or her risk to the community and the risk for re-offending.

  • Once an inmate is evaluated, a report is written to the court requesting an alternative to jail or rejecting the inmate as too great of a risk.

  • There is a specialized program for multiple drunk driving offenders.

  • Life skills programming is being offered to those who are incarcerated.

  • Health Education skills are being taught in the jail.
