Lyme Disease
Lyme disease is a
tick-borne illness, which if not treated properly, can cause serious physical
and neurological harm. Lyme disease has become the leading tick-borne
illness in the United States. In 1999, 16,273 cases of Lyme disease were
reported to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). With
tick-borne illnesses on the rise, it's important that you have a basic
understanding about ticks so you know how best to avoid them and protect
yourself, your family, and
your pets.
