A bed and breakfast establishment is a personal residence occupied by the owner where 8 or less rooms are provided for rent to customers for lodging and where the only meal served is breakfast.

Bed and breakfast establishments are places of lodging that meet the following:

• 8 or fewer rooms for rent

• 20 people or less per night

• the building is the owner’s personal residence

• the only meal served to guests is breakfast

The requirements for recreational and educational camps are outlined in Wisconsin Administrative Code, Chapter HFS 175.
