LEC Construction Committee
The Law Enforcement Center (LEC) Construction Committee is an ad hoc committee created by the County Board to give policy guidance and direction on the $29.5 million addition to the LEC. The work of this committee began in January of 2008, following the unanimous adoption in October 2007 of a project plan for the LEC addition to include nearly 150,000 sq. ft. of new construction and 15,000 sq. ft. of remodeling. The addition consolidated all inmates into one combined facility, co-locating Jail Administration, Justice Sanctions, State Probation and Parole in order to enhance closer working relationships to enhance public safety and reduce recidivism.
