La Crosse Jail Ministry offers
individual spiritual direction and rehabilitative support to
offenders.
Small group and one-on-one
sessions are a major focus of the Chaplain's duties.
Getting to know an inmate's personal needs and feelings are
important in helping inmates achieve a change in outlook.
Area pastors and volunteers
assist by leading inmates in Bible study groups and worship.
For those without funds, Jail
Ministry provides writing materials,
snacks, cards, and Bibles. Inmates who are released and
have no funds for transportation home are also provided
assistance.
