ELECTIONS:
We are responsible for all of the election preparations and ballots, as
well as the publications for State and County elections for the voters of La
Crosse County. The ballots are distributed to the City, Village, and Town Clerks
prior to the election. Each municipality is responsible for submitting the
results to the County Clerk as soon as possible once the polls close. Those
results are then tallied here the night of an election and made available to the
public and news media. We post
current results, as they come in, on our
web site the night of the election. These results are unofficial until after
the Canvass; Official results then replace the unofficial and are so titled.
In addition, past election registrations, poll lists, & results are on file & open to the public. Recent past election results and upcoming election information are also available on this web site by clicking on one of the links below or go back to the Home page and click on Elections.
